When spring rains fall, Barking Treefrogs come down from the trees and make their way to their breeding ponds.
Look For : A green, gray, or brownish treefrog with grainy (not smooth) skin, a light line along its side, and upper sides with or without round dark blotches. Call on land is like a dog's bark; in water, call is "took."
Length : 2-2 3/4".
Habitat : Sandy areas near ponds and streams in lowlands.
Range : Southeastern U.S.
