Plethodon dunni

Up in the mountains, Dunn's Salamanders are inactive in the cold winter months. In the lowlands, however, they can be found year-round and are especially active in April. The Dunn's is more at home in water than many other woodland salamanders.
Look For : A woodland salamander with a greenish (usually) to light brown back stripe that does not reach its tail tip; dark gray below with yellowish flecks.
Length : 4-5 1/2".
Habitat : Moss-covered logs and rocks.
Range : Western Oregon and nearby Washington and California.
