Dendroica coronata

The Myrtle Warbler, an eastern form, and Audubon's Warbler, a western form, are now considered the same species, the Yellow-rumped Warbler. Though they have different color markings, they interbreed freely.
Look For : In summer, the male is blue-gray above with black streaks on back. Yellow patches brighten the rump, crown, and sides. The throat is white in East, yellow in West. The female, winter male, and juveniles are brown with a yellow rump and white-spotted tail.
Length : 5-6".
Habitat : Forests, parks, thickets, residential areas.
Range : Summer: Alaska, Canada, northern U.S. Winter: eastern, southwestern, and coastal U.S.
