Accipiter cooperii

Cooper's Hawk feeds mainly on birds, which it chases through the woods. It also captures small mammals, lizards, and snakes. While the female protects the eggs and then the baby birds, the male Cooper's Hawk does all the hunting, bringing food to both his mate and the nestlings.
Look For : Crow-sized. Grayish above, lighter with reddish bars below.
Length : 14-20".
Habitat : Forests.
Range : Widespread.
