Vireo olivaceus

Like most songbirds, both male and female Red-eyed Vireos are good parents. They care for their young for 12 days before they are ready to leave their cup-shaped nest. Like other vireos, the Red-eyed is a tireless performer, singing all day -- even when other birds are silenced by the midday heat.
