Acrosternum hilare

Stink bugs are aptly named: When threatened, they release a fluid with a disagreeable odor. The large stink glands are on the insect's underside. Stink bugs feed on the juices of leaves, flowers, and fruit trees, often causing much damage to crops.
Look For : All bright green except for narrow spots of yellow, orange, red, and black along sides and below. Head is small. Antennae have five segments.
Length : 3/4".
Habitat : Orchards, gardens, crop fields.
Range : Widespread.
