Sceloporus graciosus

This species can be difficult to identify in places where the Western Fence Lizard is also found. In general, the Common Sagebrush Lizard prefers more open country or higher elevations than the Western Fence Lizard. During years when there are lots of insects available through spring and summer, females will lay several batches of eggs. Eggs are laid in a sunny location, buried in loose soil. The young hatch in about a month and a half.
