Hemidactylus turcicus

This lizard is native to parts of Europe, Africa, and Asia, but has spread all over the world when humans accidentally carried it along with cargo in ships. These lizards are also called House Geckos, which is a good name for them; they are most common around buildings, especially where they can capture insects that are attracted to lights at night. They have claws and toe pads that allow them run quickly across ceilings and glass windows with ease.
Look For : A pale-skinned lizard with big eyes and wide toe pads. Active at night; often seen on walls near lights where insects gather.
Length : 4-5".
Habitat : Urban areas, buildings, tree crevices.
Range : Scattered across Deep South.
