Urosaurus ornatus

As you might guess from the name, these lizards are good climbers and are commonly found in low shrubs and small trees. They can be very difficult to capture as they often shift their position to the opposite side of the twig they are on when you approach. In places without trees, they frequent buildings and fences. They are most common along streams and rivers, but sometimes are found in open desert habitats.
