Chen caerulescens

Snow Geese migrate long distances, sometimes flying so high that they can barely be seen. Even at this distance, however, they can often be identified by the shifting curved lines and arcs they form as they fly. Most Snow Geese are snowy white, but some are dark gray; these are called Blue Geese.
Look For : A pure white goose with black wing tips; pink bill has black "lip." (Can also be dark gray.)
Length : 25-31".
Habitat : Saltwater marshes, bays.
Range : Arctic; winter: California, Gulf, and Mid-Atlantic coasts.
