Rana catesbeiana

Perhaps the most recognized amphibian on the continent, the Bullfrog is, among other things, an awesome predator. In its watery home it will eat other frogs and amphibians, fishes, small snakes, and even small songbirds and baby ducks -- if it has the chance.
Look For : The largest North American frog. Skin is plain green or patterned with dark markings above (darker in the Southeast). Call is the familiar, deep "jug-o'-rum."
Length : 4-8".
Habitat : Quiet or slow-moving water with dense vegetation preferred.
Range : Eastern North America (introduced widely in western U.S. and Hawaii).
