Question: What do sharks eat? Answer : If you watch a lot of movies you may think that sharks want nothing more than to munch on a human swimming in the ocean. But don't worry, this isn't true! Out of more than 360 species of sharks, only 10 types have ever even been recorded attacking humans, let alone eating them (and even those only account for about 5 deaths a year). While sharks are carnivores, they usually limit their consumption to sea life, including sea turtles, numerous fish, and an occasional sea lion. They only eat about two percent of their body weight per day and some have been known to live an entire year without eating by surviving on fat stored in their livers.
