Qantassaurus is the only dinosaur named after an airline. It was a relatively small member of the family named after Hypsilophodon  It was a plant eater that ran about on its hind legs, and it had large eyes and a fairly large brain for a dinosaur.

Qantassaurus is known from a fairly complete skeleton. Found in the southern reaches of what was then Gondwana, its large eyes may have been an adaptation to long winter nights.

Corporate sponsorship was taken to new levels with the naming of Qantassaurus. Qantas Airlines says it has flown more dinosaur fossils than any other airline, and has long been a sponsor of dinosaur exhibits and research. The airline funded the dig that unearthed this creature and because of this it now bears the corporate name.
