In the Doghouse (1998)

Scott Wagner (Matt Frewer) has an ideal suburban existence, but it all turns upside down when Benny, his large, mischievous dog, ruins Scott's relationship with a valuable client. When animal talent scout Phyllis Markowitz (Rhea Perlman) shows up wanting to make a star out of Benny, things seem to have turned around for Scott. Shortly thereafter, though, Benny is kidnapped and Scott and his family find themselves trying to find Benny in time to work in a major feature film! IN THE DOGHOUSE is fun and animal antics for the whole family.
