An heiress to an estate worth millions, nine-year-old Heather (Love-Hewitt) hates her greedy step-parents and runs away from home to search for her real mother. What she finds is a fun-filled journey while private detective Frost (Hesseman) (hired by her step mother) hot on her trail. However, once the private-eye finally catches up with the girl, he discovers the stepmother has reported Heather's been kidnapped by him! Comedic situations aplenty when the two strangers are suddenly on the run together. A heartwarming and funny family tale for entire family.
