Beyoncé Knowles. A rich voice that mixes the class of the past soulful and gospel voices, and the upbeat and deepness of today's Rhythm and Blues voices. Both qualities fuse together so perfectly that you cannot believe they are actually coming from the same vocalist. This divine and blessed talent is what Beyoncé is all about.
Being the lead singer of the platinum-selling trio Destiny's Child gave Beyoncé the ultimate opportunity to display her vocal abilities on both the group's debut album Destiny's Child and their sophomore album The Writing's On The Wall. The Writing's On The Wall showed another creative dimension in Beyoncé's talent. She co-wrote and co-produced five tracks on the album, reflecting the growth of her creative skill. Her distinctive voice gave her opportunites for collaborations with other artists.
The highlight for her was being chosen by the one-woman-industry Missy Elliott to collaborate on her sophomore album Da Real World. That was the beginning of the string of collaborations that are sure to come. Several artists expressed their interest in working with Beyoncé including Sisqo, Dalvin Degrate, and Darren Hayes. Another collaboration that has already taken place was with female rapper Amil on her debut album. Another remarkable achievement for Beyoncé was co-writing the theme song for the Charlie's Angels movie as well as co-producing the song.
With the third Destiny's Child album Survivor, Beyoncé ventured more into making the music as she served as co-writer and co-producer to most of the tracks on the album. This was followed by the group's Christmas album, 8 Days Of Christmas.
Beyoncé made her silver-screen debut in the MTV/New Line Production movie Carmen: A Hip-Hopera, a remake of the classic opera Carmen narrated in hip-hop essences. In 2002, Beyoncé was featured in Austin Powers 3, playing Foxy Cleopatra, Austin Powers's new right-hand lady.
A golden future awaits Beyoncé, a young artist who has the right factors for making it big and what it takes to have a prestigious career in the music industry.
