Adrienne "Chanel" Bailon:
Born: October 24, in Lower Eastside Manhattan, New York.
Musical Influences: "I grew up listening to a lot of salsa, so I love Celia Cruz and Marc Anthony! And of course, in my generation, I love R&B and hip-hop, from Biggie Smalls to TLC and Destiny's Child -- so it was a great fusion growing up in New York City, the mecca of hip-hop music."
Obsessions: "I absolutely love to go shopping, which all girls love to do, but makeup shopping is one of my all-time favorite things. One of the really cool things The Cheetah Girls did, when we were in Toronto, was play photographers! We did each other's makeup, then did our own photo shoot. I'm also really obsessed with celeb-reality, and those paparazzi magazines. I can sit and read magazines all day long."
Secret Crush: "Marc Anthony -- he's so romantic! His voice! Just the music itself is so romantic."
Personal Passions: "I love making films, and I'm looking forward to someday doing a Latin album and can't wait for that. And my mom lately has been teaching me how to cook, so it was really nice to be back in the kitchen in New York with my mom going through all my grandmother's old recipes. I've really gotten into that, so now I'm starting to put together a young girl's Latin cookbook. In our culture, I think it's important for young girls to get into cooking, because our older grandparents are the guardians of the recipes. One of my favorites is Pastillos -- they're like Caribbean beef patties. You fry them and they're absolutely delicious."
Pet Peeves: "It drives me crazy that Kiely changes her clothes at least 10 times a day. She'll take one outfit off and just drop her clothes all over the place. I can tell all the outfits that she's worn every day just by what's scattered around everywhere!"
Sistahood: "We're like three sisters more than anything, so we argue all the time! But it's all about making up as soon as possible. My biggest problem would be that I talk a lot, and since Kiely's my roommate, I sometimes come close to talking her to death. Sometimes she says 'OK, Adrienne. Five minutes of quiet please. Just five minutes.' Kiely's very laid back and likes to read and write poetry, so my little talkative self can be a lot for her to handle."
Who I'd Nominate as an Honorary Cheetah Girl: "Any of the Spice Girls could definitely join The Cheetah Girls because of their girl power spirit. I love that about them, and love all their catchy songs. It's just fun! I love the fact that we're making music fun, and that people can just enjoy it."
Famous Last Words: "Growl power is about being proud of who you are. Standing up for yourself and being confident. It's all about feeling empowered, knowing that your dreams can come true, and that anything you aspire to be, you can definitely accomplish."
Kiely "Aqua" Williams
Born: July 9, in Alexandria, Virginia.
Musical Influences: "I love rock music, and I love alternative music."
Personal Passions: "I really like to read, to write poetry and stories, and to watch movies."
Obsessions: "I've lost my head over 'Lost.' It's my favorite show in the world! I have the DVDs, and all I want to do is watch 'Lost.' I have a problem!"
Sistahood: "I'm so lucky to have four sisters and two Cheetah sisters. It's so important that young girls realize that having relationships and friendships with girls is really important. A lot of us grow up and all we want is a boyfriend, but if you have a couple really good girlfriends that you can lean on, it's more important than practically anything I can think of."
Pet Peeve: "I don’t know why, but I just can't take it when somebody reads over my shoulder."
Secret Crush: "Strange but true: I have a secret crush on Napoleon Dynamite!"
Cheetah Tales: "Oh my gosh, Adrienne loves to shop, just like her character, Chanel. She has a problem! A buying problem. Like we were at Wal-Mart one day, and she spent hours shopping! And it's not just for clothes -- she has to shop forever for all kinds of things."
Who I'd Nominate as an Honorary Cheetah Girl: "My favorite singer ever: Stevie Nicks. She's just amazing."
Famous Last Words: "My best advice is just to be yourself and know your limits. If you know yourself, then you'll know when you're getting yourself into a situation that you can't handle, and feel that something bad could happen. If you know your limits, and you know when to say no, you really can't go wrong."
Sabrina “Dorinda” Bryan
Born: Sept. 16, in Yorba Linda, California.
Musical Influences: "Gwen Stefani is my absolute favorite, and No Doubt’s 'Tragic Kingdom' CD was the first record I ever bought. But I've always looked up to Madonna because she's so innovative, musically and stylistically. She's really made great leaps all over the spectrum."
Personal Passions: "I'm really into shopping. I love hanging out with my friends and doing everyday girl stuff. I live in Orange County, so going to the beach is really cool, and Disneyland is really close, so I have an annual pass and go whenever I can!"
Sistas: "My sister Starr is eight years older than me, but we're really close. I've learned a lot from her, watching her grow up as she was pursuing her dreams. I really looked up to that, so it's because of her that I knew what I wanted to do at a young age, and that it would take a lot of dedication."
Fun Fan Fare: "It's really fun when Kiely, Adrienne, and I are together, because that's when we're recognized everywhere. I always hear girls whispering, wondering if it's really us. And when they figure it out for sure, they scream! It's a lot of fun, because The Cheetah Girls have had such a positive influence on my life and theirs. Some girls have started dancing and singing because of The Cheetah Girls, and that's an amazing, wonderful thing. It's very rewarding."
Secret Crush: "Ryan Seacrest. I listen to him on the radio and he's so funny. His personality just cracks me up."
Who I'd Nominate as an Honorary Cheetah Girl: "I think Gwen Stefani could definitely be an honorary Cheetah Girl! At this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, she wore an all-cheetah outfit! Plus, she's so dedicated to her bandmates that they're just like family, just like we are. We can rely on each other for anything."
Famous Last Words: "I'm really blessed to be a Cheetah Girl. Who knew how huge it would become?"
