Slim Thug

This tall rapper from the north side of Houston, Texas, ran the streets as a kid. Luckily his interest in making music mixtapes got him off the streets. He eventually became a mixtape star with his part on the album "Swisha House 98." Soon he became interested in trying his hand at rapping. His deep voice with its southern accent and his special rhyming style made him stand out among the other up-and-coming southern rappers.

But Slim didn't want to just be a rapper. What he really wanted to do was run his own business, working behind the music scene as well as in the limelight. In 2000, he started his own record label, Boss Hogg Outlawz. This name came from Slim's nickname, Boss Hogg, which he got because he used to drive a 1975 Cadillac, just like the one Boss Hogg...
