Funnyman Will Ferrell grew up in Irvine, California. He started out as a sportscaster for a local TV station. He began peforming stand-up comedy routines at small coffeehouses and comedy clubs. Soon he started taking improvisational comedy classes. Four years later, Ferrell joined the cast of the TV show "Saturday Night Live." He became famous for his impersonations of President George W. Bush and "Jeopardy" game show host Alex Trebek. He is also known for the characters he played on "Saturday Night Live," including a music teacher, a cheerleader, and a lounge singer.
