Cascada

Natalie Horler, known in the music business as Cascada, was born on September 23, 1981, in Bonn, Germany. Her parents were British, so she grew up speaking English as well as German. She inherited her musical talent from her father, who is a jazz musician in Germany. As a child, Cascada would often record jazz and Disney songs in her father's music studio. She knew from an early age that she wanted to be a singer, and grew up admiring Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, Lauryn Hill, and Boyz II Men. Besides singing, she also enjoyed taking hip-hop, jazz, and step dance lessons. While a teenager, she also acted in some plays that her father helped direct.

When she was 18 years old, Cascada started working in a music studio, recording voice tracks for different DJs. She recorded a couple of songs with DJ Manian and Yanou, which got some attention. Then in 2004, her first single "Miracle" was released in Germany, where it became a huge hit. Robbins Entertainment, the record label that also produces DJ Sammy's music, liked what they heard. The company released "Miracle" in the United States later that year. In 2005, her first full album "Every Time We Touch" was released, and the title song became another hit in both Germany and America.
