See "Pollywog in a Bog," the newest music video from Barenaked Ladies' collection of original children's songs, "Snacktime." Only at Yahoo! Kids!

We couldn't be more delighted to feature Barenaked Ladies on Yahoo! Kids.

For the uninitiated, Barenaked Ladies is a phenomonally successful Canadian alternative band that mixes a unique blend of jazz, folk and rock with a quirky sense of humor. Beginning with its 1992 hit, "Gordon," BNL has enjoyed a string of platinum releases, Juno awards and Grammy nominations.  It's especially noted for its live concerts, with improvised raps and comedic banter between songs.

So why are these pop icons on Yahoo! Kids?  In a word, "Snacktime," the band's first collection of original children's songs. Produced and mixed by Michael Phillip Wojewoda (who also worked with the band on their debut, "Gordon") "Snacktime" is a result of the bandmates' growing families. 

"Our collective kids now outnumber the band more than 2 to 1," explains vocalist/guitarist Ed Robertson. "We set out to make a record that would be entertaining for them…not strictly a children's record, but a record that children would really enjoy... Making the focus about what our kids like was a truly liberating process and fun for the whole band."

In May, Yahoo! Kids was proud to feature the first video from Snacktime, "789", an animated tale of numbers in a Western saloon.  We liked it so much we produced a simple video based on another "Snacktime" tune, "Crazy ABCs".

And now we're especially excited to premiere the latest "Snacktime" video, "Pollywog in a Bog", a puppet-and-animation extravaganza.
